Some of the most prominent names in technology are getting shellacked today. These companies got way ahead of themselves and now they are, well, to be polite, let's just call it "retrenching," as they give up a large percentage of their gains. I don’t think that Twitter Inc., LinkedIn Corp., Netflix Inc. or Tesla Motors Inc. are the force that has been driving the market higher — but they certainly garner an enormous amount of attention from the trading public and financial press. |

| Things I Don’t Care About On This Miserable Monday Posted: 24 Mar 2014 05:46 AM PDT It's a cold and miserable Monday in what was supposed to be Spring. Winter was supposed to have ended lat week, but it refuses to depart peaceably. March (along with January and February) came in like a Lion, and should be going out like a Lamb. Instead, it has us in its icy death grip. I don't know about you, but I am sick of it. I am going to use the nasty weather as an excuse to vent my spleen. What follows is a list of things I simply don't care about. Far be it for me to tell you how to prioritize your life, but I suspect you will be better off if you stop caring about these things as well. Battling Billionaires: Yes, yes, you keep telling me it makes for "great television," but I simply do not care about the feud that this 80 year old billionaire has with that 60 year old billionaire. I don't care about their divorces, ex-wives, art collections, SEC troubles, yachts, or gay lovers on the side. It is none of my business, and to be blunt, none of yours either. Yes, I know the media has 24 hours a day to fill, and this helps meet that impossible target, but I simply cannot believe there is noting of greater import going on in the world.
