The Results
I placed 3 trades in two days. I shared these trades with the live forex trading bootcamp members as they happened. Here’s are the results:Trade 1: EUR/USD – 55 pip profit!
Trade 2: EUR/USD – 31 pip profit!
Trade 3: USD/JPY – 19 pip loss!
And the kicker is that the 19 pip loss only came up to hit my stop & then the trade went as planned. If that stop had only been 3-4 pips higher the trade would have made over 50 pips! But it’s the pips you make, not the pips you could have made that count, right?
I also missed a few potential trades because it was 2 am and I started to doze off as my body was adjusting to a new schedule.
Trading Schedule Modification
In the initial experiment I traded for the first hour of market activity for the four major forex markets (London, New York, Sydney, Tokyo). This comprised 4 hours of market activity per day.
This week, I’ve decided to combine the London & New York sessions & the Sydney & Tokyo sessions. Instead of trading 4 hours per day, this schedule gives me 6. It makes more sense because it only gives me two times in a day where I have to be home trading. The rest of the time I can be our enjoying life!
My New Trading Schedule
I’ll be trading from the market open in Sydney until the 1st hour of the Tokyo market. Then 11 hours later, I’ll trade the hour before & after the NY market open (which still includes London being open). Here’s the new trading schedule:
- London/New York Session – 11 am GMT to 2 pm GMT, 7 am to 10 am EST, 1 am to 4 am Hawaii
- Sydney/Tokyo Session – 9 pm to 12 am GMT, 5 pm to 8 pm EST, 11 am to 2 pm Hawaii
You Can Trade this Schedule To
I’ve chosen this schedule because it works for me & gives me an opportunity to take advantage of times where the forex moves more. If you’re a live forex trading bootcamp member, you’ll get to see these trades as they’re posted, live during the actual trade. If you’re a normal rapid forex blog reader, you’ll get to see last week’s completed trades posted this week on the blog so you can still learn from the examples!.
